Pre-School, Hip Hop
Makenzie began dancing at the age of 3 and has danced in styles of ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, modern, and hip hop and has loved it ever since. Makenzie began competing in dance at the age of 7 and continues to do so. She has performed at We Day, with Moscow Ballet, with Rainbow Stage and many others. She competed in many competitions in Winnipeg and has travelled to compete at NUVO, Jump, World of Dance, Artists Emerge, and The Dance World Cup. She became a member of Sikat dance company, a company training in the styles of Hip Hop, at 17.
Makenzie has learned from many world-renowned Hip Hop dancers like the Kingjas, Keone and Mari Madrid, Sorah Yang, and Carlo Darang. Sikat gave Makenzie the opportunity to represent Canada in Orlando at World of Dance where they qualified for a worldwide competition, World of Dance Finals, in Los Angeles in 2016. Makenzie has learned from dancers Travis Wall, Stacey Tookey, and Mia Michaels, just to name a few, at dance conventions where she has been a recipient for different awards and scholarships.
